I've been a member here for many years and I'm proud to be Captain in 2010. Established in 1906 on the undulating moorland above the town of Matlock, the eastern gateway to the Peak District National Park, our club offers a challenging 18-hole par 70 course of just over 5,800 yards (yellow tees) with spectacular views across the valley of the River Derwent.

With every hole different and the Bentley Brook meandering through the course to add further interest, Matlock is a regular choice for county and inter-county fixtures and each year welcomes many other visitors – individuals, societies and corporate groups.

The off-course facilities provided by our friendly Professional, Bar and Catering staff are just as important in supporting our aim to make the 'Matlock GC Visitor Experience' one that will bring golfers back time and time again. The clubhouse is also available for hire for private functions such as wedding receptions, anniversary/ birthday parties and business meetings.

For existing players who are moving into the area, or those who are considering taking up the game for the first time, we have a limited number of gentlemen, ladies and junior membership places available for 2010.
